📝 Check and fix Danish grammar in Word

  1. Open Microsoft Word and type or paste a paragraph in Danish.
  2. Select all the text you want to check: Ctrl+A (Windows) or Cmd+A (Mac).
  3. In the Home ribbon, click Open DanskAI — the task pane opens on the right.
  4. Ensure you are on the Grammar tab.
  5. Click Check selected text.
  6. Review each issue: the original phrase, the suggested correction, and an explanation.
  7. Click Apply all corrections to replace your text with the corrected version.
  8. The panel shows "No issues found" once everything is fixed. ✅
💡 Tip: You can select individual sentences rather than the whole document for faster, more focused feedback.

📊 Build a vocabulary list in Sheets and sync to DanskAI

Sheets · ~5 min +
  1. Open a new Google Sheet.
  2. Add headers in row 1: Column A = Danish, Column B = English, Column C = Example sentence.
  3. Fill in rows 2 onwards with your vocabulary words (Danish in A, English in B).
  4. Go to Extensions → DanskAI → Open DanskAI Sidebar and sign in.
  5. Select your data rows (e.g. A2:C20 — not the header row).
  6. Go to Extensions → DanskAI → Sync selection to Vocab Bank.
  7. A notification confirms how many words were synced.
  8. Open danskai.com/vocabulary — your words are there and scheduled for spaced-repetition review.
💡 Tip: Leave Column B blank if you're not sure of the translation — the DanskAI Vocab Bank will still accept the Danish word.

📝 Translate a Danish article in Word

  1. Paste a Danish article or document into Word.
  2. Open the DanskAI panel: Home → DanskAI → Open DanskAI.
  3. Click the Translate tab.
  4. Set direction to 🇩🇰 → 🇬🇧 (Danish to English).
  5. In your document, click and drag to select a sentence you don't understand.
  6. Click Translate selection in the panel — the English translation appears instantly.
  7. Optionally click Insert into document to add the translation in brackets after the sentence.
  8. Repeat for other passages.
💡 Tip: For individual unknown words, switch to the Dictionary tab — it shows part of speech, multiple definitions, and example sentences, which helps you learn the word, not just understand it once.

📝 Look up a word and save it while writing

  1. While writing in Word, encounter a word you're unsure about (e.g. begejstret).
  2. Double-click the word to select it.
  3. In the DanskAI panel, click the Dictionary tab → Look up selected word.
  4. Review the definition, part of speech, and example sentence.
  5. Click + Save to Vocab Bank — the word is added to your spaced-repetition deck.
  6. Continue writing. The word will be scheduled for review automatically.
💡 Tip: Words you save this way appear in your Vocabulary Bank on the DanskAI mobile app too — review them on your commute.

📊 Auto-conjugate verbs in a study table

Sheets · ~3 min +
  1. Open a Google Sheet and put Danish verb infinitives in column A (one per row, starting from row 2). E.g.: løbe, spise, have, være, komme, gå.
  2. Select the range with your verbs (e.g. A2:A10).
  3. Go to Extensions → DanskAI → Auto-conjugate verbs.
  4. Column headers (Infinitive / Present / Past / Past Participle) appear in the row above, and all conjugations fill in automatically.
  5. Select the whole table and press Ctrl+T (or Format → Table) to style it.
  6. Optionally select column A again and run Sync selection to Vocab Bank to add all verbs to your DanskAI deck.
💡 Tip: You can extend this workflow — add a column for the English meaning, then run Translate selected column on your infinitives to fill it in automatically.

📊 Check SRS review dates for your word list

Sheets · ~2 min +
  1. Open a Sheet that has Danish words in column A (words already synced to your Vocab Bank).
  2. Select the range of words (e.g. A2:A30).
  3. Go to Extensions → DanskAI → Show SRS review dates.
  4. The next scheduled review date is written to the adjacent column (formatted as Danish date).
  5. Words not yet in your Vocab Bank show "Not in bank" — select those rows and run Sync selection to Vocab Bank to add them.
💡 Tip: Sort the sheet by the review date column to see which words are due soonest and prioritise your study session.
